Ghost (B.C.)'s Infestissumam: unveiling the riddle
What artistic influences (music, literature, cinema, design) are behind its sophomore album?
First, and I want to be crystal clear about this I am not writing a review or wanting to discuss if Infestissumam is a better or worse album than Opus Eponymous. In my opinion they are different, and that's all.

Wow! What a coincidence, eh? I DON'T THINK SO... Not when it happened TWICE in a row. Check this out:

To be sincere, at first I thought it SUCKED (yes, with big and bold capital letters). Too much keyboards, the almost total absence of guitars riffs and slow-tempo on-the-verge-of-pop songs were just a few of the reasons I hated it.
But after understanding the references that were behind this album, I came to LOVE it (yes, with big and bold capital letters again). And that's why I am writing: not to compare both albums, but to share my explanations and discoveries on it. So, friends, Romans, metalheads, lend me you ears (and eyes)!
THE ALBUM ART
(part 1 of 2)
The cover art
First of all, let's start with the album art. The album cover is, apparently, simple... The yellow colour predominance (in contrast with the first album blue one). But what many don't know is that it is a barefaced homage to Amadeus' theatrical release poster, designed by Peter Sís. Why? I have no idea, but I'll sure try and figure it out. Let's compare them:

Yup... Their first album cover art is a tribute to Salem's Lot release poster art. And again, I'll try and find why they've chosen it, and I'll let you know.
Please, "stay" tuned for the second part of the article, coming soon (I'll talk about the booklet art) and later on, about the hidden meanings and musical influences on the songs of this hypnotising album! Cheers, metalheads!!!
P.S.: I am EAGER to know what you guys think about it! Please, feel free to leave your impressions, opinions, discovers, etc.!
